Why A Blog?

During my high school years/middle school years I was deeply captivated and absorbed in my English classes. From there, I believe, really grew a great love to think, question and reflect about the world around me,myself and God through writing and words. Some seek this self-awareness in philosophy, theology and writing- in prayer. I, like many, join them in through these means, but also add to this seeking the sciences as means to discover the mechanisms and systems of the world. So that in knowing creation I may be ever more inspired by the Creator.

Being a biology major, I'll encounter many peers with the desire to understand the world in the latter terms however, probably forgetting the wise words of St. Augustine of Hippo:

"Men go abroad to wonder at the heights of mountains, at the huge waves of the sea, at the long courses of the rivers, at the vast compass of the ocean, at the circular motions of the stars, and they pass by themselves without wondering"

So the purpose of this blog is just that, so that I may not pass by humanity without a deep curiosity of its essence, of its soul. To merge the beauty and love of science's precise, tangible and measurable characteristics with theology's own beauty of seeking the Creator of the natural world.

I pray, that whoever reads this, also finds a space where through sometimes humorous or seemingly "superficial" posts a deeper message or theme is to be taken and pondered. I say this in utter humility since, I am, after all, the student with all who I meet.
